Work History:
During my time at The University of Akron, I developed and enhanced my clinical skills through pediatric and adult practicum sites at: The University of Akron Audiology and Speech Center, Akron Children’s Hospital Pediatric Ear, Nose, and Throat Center: Cochlear Implant Program, outpatient rehabilitation at a local hospital, inpatient rehabilitation at a skilled nursing facility, and primary, middle, and high schools. I also participated in a week-long training program at Camp Shout Out, a summer camp experience dedicated to supporting children and teenagers who stutter. Through these clinical opportunities, I was able to gain experience in a variety of areas including articulation and phonological disorders, language, fluency, cognitive-communication, dysphagia, and social-communication. I gained additional experience in auditory-verbal therapy and aural rehabilitation as well through the I-HEART certificate program. I moved to the Myrtle Beach area after graduating and am currently completing my Clinical Fellowship Year at Young Talkers. I am blessed to have the opportunity to help the patients I work with improve their communication skills and encourage them every step of the way!
