Work History:
During my time at Baldwin Wallace University, I had the opportunity to work in a variety of clinical settings including: Baldwin Wallace Speech Clinic, Baldwin Wallace Concussion Clinic, elementary schools, outpatient hospital, daycares, assisted living facility, and a private practice. Through these placements, I gained experience in evaluating and treating a variety of communication disorders across the lifespan including speech, language, voice, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. Throughout my time in undergraduate school, I had the opportunity of volunteering at an inpatient and outpatient children’s hospital where I was able to foster relationships with children and families during difficult moments. During graduate school, I had the opportunity to travel to Lusaka, Zambia where I spent time providing resources and play-based education to families of children with speech and language delays. After graduating in May 2024, I moved to the Myrtle Beach area to begin my clinical fellowship at Young Talkers. My professional goal is to support the pediatric and adult population in reaching their communication goals by creating an inclusive, encouraging, and fun environment to facilitate communication and engagement!
Specialized Training:
SPEAK OUT! & LOUD Crowd Training
This was a self-study course offered through the Parkinson Voice Project. The training introduced the unique concept of speaking with intent, an evidence-based treatment method that addresses the motor speech deficits in individuals with Parkinson’s. The therapy programs help patients with Parkinson’s maintain and regain their speech, swallowing, voice, and communication skills.
Welcome to Young Talkers!
Our mission is to provide quality speech-language and feeding therapy services to the pediatric and adult population in order to enhance their verbal/non-verbal communication and feeding skills. We accomplish this by identifying concerns through specialized evaluations and the development of goals to meet the needs of the patient and the family.
