Work History:

After finishing my Bachelor’s degree, I worked in the Myrtle Beach area as an ABA therapist serving autistic children and their families in both clinical and community settings. During my graduate studies I had the opportunity to serve children through the university’s outpatient clinic and through Virginia’s Early Intervention program, in which I was able to serve the birth-three population in their natural environments. These opportunities provided me with experiences working with children with speech, language, and various feeding/swallowing disorders. During my time at Young Talkers, I have gained experience working with children from infancy through middle school with a variety of diagnoses.

Specialized Training:

  • Recognized in the the Apraxia Kids SLP directory for having experience and skill in evaluating and treating children with childhood apraxia of speech
  • Received a certificate of completion for attending the Hanen 4 “I”s to Socialize workshop
